During the holiday season, people try to find the best way to give gifts to their loved ones while not spending too much money.

Burr baskets are a perfect and fun way to give someone a gift. They consist of small items, such as lotions, stuffed animals, gift cards, candles, candy, skincare items, a blanket, and more.  

Junior Colton Murch believes, “You can personalize its contents based on the person. I think the person’s favorite snacks are probably the best gift, but I also really like getting matching pajamas.”

Sophomore Brooklyn Hume says, “I think that burr baskets are a good gift for your friends because they can include many small items that are not too expensive.” 

Freshman Ilona Leone also thinks that they are a great gift because, “It makes people happy and most of the time these baskets are a surprise which makes it even better.”

Some people struggle to find a store that will have the items they need for a cheap price. 

Hume suggests, “Target and Walmart are probably the best stores for items because they have cheap prices for cute items.”

Murch recently got his girlfriend a burr basket. He explained, “Target was the best, but I think Five Below is helpful so you don’t spend too much.” 

Leone also thinks that Target and Five Below are good for their cheap prices.

Burr baskets aren’t limited to Christmas gifts but can be used for many other occasions too. For example, it is called a “boo basket” during Halloween and a “beach basket” during summer.

They can also be used as a birthday basket or for any time of the year because it is a fun and cute way to give someone presents.
