Turkey Trot To Raise Money For Senior Class and Kelsey S. Harrington Foundation
Where will you be on Saturday, November 23?
Starting at 9:00 a.m. at Great Neck Elementary School, the Waterford High School Class of 2014 will be hosting the 2nd Annual Turkey Trot. The Turkey Trot is a 5K road race, throughout the Great Neck area and welcomes runners and walkers of all ages.
Last year’s race was a great success, raising over $6,000. Many sponsors around New London County helped support the Turkey Trot with food, gift card, monetary and other donations for the cause.
For the second year in a row, partial proceeds will be donated to the Kelsey S. Harrington Foundation. The Kelsey S. Harrington Foundation is a memorial created to raise funds for people with special needs, and it’s cause is very close to the hearts of the Waterford High School community.
The cost of pre-registration is $20 and is due by November 18. The first 100 pre-registrants will receive a free Turkey Trot t-shirt. Same day registration will cost $25 and will take place from 8:00-8:45 a.m. the day of the race.
Both male and female awards will be given to the top three runners for each age group (14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & over). For more information or to print out a registration form, click on the link below or visit the Waterford High School home page.
