Volleyball

This year, the volleyball team made some real history, winning the Class M state championship against Ellington in three straight sets. You can read the story here.

Senior Mickayla Shelburne was named MVP for the game, and  seniors Vanessa Kobyluck and Jillian Sykora were named to the Class M All-State team.

Football

The football team, under new head coach John Strecker, had a season is hopes to soon forget and improve on next year, ending this year with a record of 3-7 (with one win coming in a forfeit from Plainfield).

Senior captain Chase Speller was named a Class M  All-State running back and to the All-ECC Team, along with junior Spencer Hoagland and seniors Justin Keating, Noah Concascia, and Michael Rocchetti earning Honorable Mention honors.

Cross Country

The boys’ and girls’ Cross Country team showed proficiency as always, with the girls’ team finishing with a record of 4-6 and the boys’ team with 7-3, enough to win them the Medium Division ECC Championship.

Senior Jeannette Mooney was named to the Class M All-ECC Team. Senior Dylan Abate and  junior Nick Carson were also named to the All-ECC Medium Division squad.

Field Hockey

Like the football team, the field hockey team is looking to bounce after its season this year, finishing with a record of 4-11-1.

Boys’ Soccer

The boys’ Soccer team continued to show excellence in its 2015 season, finishing with a record of 12-5-1. The squad lost to Sheehan in Class M state play in a crushing 3-2 overtime loss.

Juniors Steven Lavoie and Daniel Castelpoggi were named to the Class M All-ECC and Class M All-State teams.

Girls’ Soccer

Likewise, the Lancer girls’ Soccer team also put in their share of work this fall, finishing as the ECC Medium division regular season champs with a record of 15-4-2.

Seniors Claire Hurley, Mackenzie Merriman, and Shea Spellman, and junior Mia Brennan were named to the Class M ECC All-Stars, and Hurley was also named to the Class M All-State team.

Girls’ Swimming and Diving

The girls’ swim team had a record of 7-3 this year, then turned its whole season around at ECC swim meet by placing third in the finals.

Senior Meika Gathy earned All-ECC honors and All-State honors in two events.
