Girls’ Lacrosse:
Junior McKenzie Potter scored the lone goal in Monday’s 18-1 loss to East Lyme.
Potter and junior Julia Peay each had three goals, and sophomore Riley Dimmock scored twice, but the Lancers fell to unbeaten Stonington 14-10. They are 4-5 on the year, with a 1-3 record in the ECC Small Division.
Girls’ Track and Field:
The meet at Windham was cancelled. The Lancers will be back in action at the Middletown Invitational.
Girls’ Tennis:
The doubles team of sophomores Jessica Hudson and Katie Lewis won at No.1 doubles as the Lady Lancers made a clean sweep of their match Monday against Killingly, 7-0. Sophomores Nisha Rajamohan and Lauren Rahr, junior Alex Moger, and senior Nora Sullivan all won their singles matches, as did the doubles teams of junior Phoebe Lee/senior Lily O’Hara, and junior Nizida Acharte/sophomore Francesca Secor.
The Lancers ran their winning streak to six matches with a 7-0 victory over Bacon Academy. Rajamohan, Rahr, Moger, and Sullivan all won their singles matches, and the quartet lost just six games all day. The team is now 9-1, with a 5-1 in the ECC Medium Division.
Softball:
Senior Megan Spellman twirled a three hitter, and senior Katelyn Haff homered in the Lancers’ 2-1 win over ECC Large Division rival Fitch.
Spellman pitched a four hitter, and senior Jamie Dahl delivered an RBI single in the Lancers’ 5-1 win over Norwich Free Academy. The Lancers also took advantage of four NFA errors. They are now 10-2 overall, and a perfect 6-0 in the ECC Large Division.
