RED Shirt Fridays Raise Awareness and Benefit USO

RED Shirt Friday begins its second year in building awareness about our servicemen and women around the community .Mr. Rondash’s freshman advisory is leading the WHS effort to bring awareness about this cause.

RED Shirt Friday” is to show our support for our servicemen and servicewomen. This is not politically charged, nor do we care whether or not one supports our nation’s current specific military missions. We only want to let our servicemen and servicewomen know that we support their sacrifice and that we will not forget them. We will do this by wearing red every Friday,” according to redshirtfridays.org, the national organization behind the movement.

“RED Shirt Friday” stands for Remembering Everyone Deployed – Until they all come home.

With the help of Sportee’s, the journalism class has  put together a shirt that can be purchased to be worn on Fridays to show your support. Shirts cost $ 15.00. All proceeds from the t-shirts will be donated to the USO, and used to purchase care packages for the troops.

Orders are now being taken and will go until Dec. 19th.  See Mr. Rondash in Room 320 to order or for more information.
