Model UN at Waterford High School is an enriching and unique experience that anyone can participate in. This year, WHS Model UN will be going to Yale University in New Haven for a four day conference. In this conference, over 2000 delegates from over 40 countries will be participating. This experience will allow students to gather ideas and perspectives from people around the world and hear complex topics regarding politics and the world around them. A delegate who is attending the conference, Jordon Dunkerley, said “I’m excited to experience the fast pace of the Model UN [conference] and meet people from different states and countries,” when asked what things he is excited about regarding the trip. Jordon hopes that “Yale will help improve his public speaking and communication skills, which he will hopefully take into college.” The Model UN Yale Conference is a highly anticipated and exciting trip for students. WHS is glad we are able to provide these opportunities to our highly skilled and qualified students.
