One of the biggest strong suits in the book are the supernatural characters, who come in a plethora of different personalities. The wild adventures that Charlie goes on with these characters are often unpredictable and surprising. While the story has a dark and grim environment, the story itself is also humorous. It is clear that the authors chose to incorporate a balance between the comedic and serious aspects of the book. The settings and characters are often out-of-this-world, which may draw some readers in and out of the book. The book is actually one of three, with two being published in the same year as the first one.
