WATERFORDrama will present the fun and energetic musical comedy, THE PAJAMA GAME as its fifth and final production of the season on May 12-14 at 7:30PM in the WHS Auditorium.
The musical, based on Richard Bissell’s novel 7-1/2 Cents, tells the tale of the Sleep-Tite Pajama Factory’s workers, who are demanding a raise of seven and a half cents an hour. However, factory management is ignoring their demands. Meanwhile, a romance blooms between Babe, the grievance committee head, and Sid, the new factory superintendent.
The 32-member cast has been working on the show since late winter.
Producer Shane Valle said, “If you have never been at a WATERFORDrama musical then you have no idea what you are missing! Our kids are extremely talented and our shows are not your typical high school theatre.”
The cast includes sophomore Josh Marcks as Sid Sorokin, junior Kim Smith as Babe Williams, senior Kevin Schlink as Hines, senior Kelli Spellman as Gladys, senior Eric Sargent as Mr. Hasler, freshman Nathaniel Ross as Pres, junior Kalie Menders as Mabel, and junior Ally Wang as Mae.
Also, performing will be junior Christina Benak, senior Emily Diana, junior Angelo Granell, freshman David Green, freshman Micah Greenleaf, senior Danielle Johnson, sophomore Kelsey Johnson, sophomore Josh Kelly, junior Lauren Lamothe, sophomore Weston Long, senior Brianna Mathiowetz, junior Lexi Persi, sophomore Kayla Richardson, junior Emily Skalski, sophomore Mike Stankov, senior Sam Sterenchock, sophomore CJ Thibeau, freshman Noah Todd, junior Darcy Van Ness, sophomore Jordan Waterworth, junior Stacy Weng, freshman Juanita Wilbur, sophomore Peter Wojtowicz, and junior Ali Wolfley.
Students will also be performing live with the pit band. They are musicians sophomore Andrew Frascarelli, junior Shannon Rogers, seniors Selena Roy, Emma Sayles, and Molly Sayles, sophomore Anthony Steady, and senior Maria Xing.
