As the Christmas season rolls around, the town of Waterford is kicking off the holidays as they prepare to host a series of Christmas events for the community.
The town is using the 2024 Christmas season as an opportunity to raise money and give back to our hardworking neighboring businesses and community. They are eager to join in on the celebration, offering special deals and holiday treats. Churches host children to meet Santa. Christmas tree lighting, and holiday crafts! Here is a guide to Waterford’s Christmas events so you don’t miss out on all of the fun.
On November 30th, get ready because Healing Therapies thru Sharing will be hosting their annual Holiday Magic Poinsettia Sale. Located at the center of Healing Therapies, 83 Boston Post Road, Waterford, there will be holiday quilts, stockings, tree skirts auctions, boutique shopping and crafts. Everyone is encouraged to come to support their local community. All donations made will go towards supportive therapies for individuals with cancer. Held from 10 am to 1 pm, Santa will make an appearance towards the end for family pictures.
You are invited to St. Paul’s Breakfast with Santa and Christmas bazaar. Come and see Santa as he arrives at 8:30 am on Waterford’s First Fire Truck, a 1923 Model T American LaFrance on Saturday December 7th. From 8 am to 1 pm, You can enjoy pictures, raffles, bake sale, craft show, and more at St Paul’s church located on 170 rope ferry road. Also help support our local community as we host a food and toy drive. Collecting food for our local Waterford pantry and helping the Waterford Police & Fire Department collect toys for less fortunate children during the holiday season. A Christmas themed family and community event to bring us together for great causes and reminders of what the season is all about.
Nothing like kicking off the holiday season with some Christmas music! To celebrate the Christmas season and wintertime with favorite carols from around the world on Saturday December 7th, the town of Waterford will host a Christmas concert at Waterford library. Starting at 3pm, 18th and 19th century carols, such as “What Child is This,” “Good King Wenceslas,” “Bring a Torch Jeanette Isabella” which are still beloved and regularly sung and played today, will be performed. Lesser-known pieces from the 13th through the 18th centuries will also be performed on historic instruments to express the magic and mystery of the season. Players include Dee Hansen, Eric Hansen and Neal Humphreys. Located on 49 Rope Ferry Road. Charter Oak Credit Union will be funding a portion of this event.

Each guest may bring one book from home for signing. All books purchased in-store and will be signed and personalized. Tickets to the event will include your choice of one (1) of the following titles: The Christmas tree farm, The cinnamon bun bookstore, The Pumpkin spice cafe.
